Mindy’s Barber Shop

Mindy Isabelle, the sole proprietor of this barbershop (which has been women owned since 1974) founded by Mrs Vivian Maxon, is located in north Amherst, aka: the “dirty hands” district, made up of a small community of working class people.  She grew up in her great grandparents house a mile away.   The Barbershop was always filled with interesting people, a strong scent of Bay Rum and a solid sense of community.

Mindy Isabelle Has been at this location for almost 20 years now. She is proud to serve the community she grew up in and has kept the Barbershop just she remembers it. You will still find a comfortable atmosphere, amazing people, great conversations and a strong community “scent” here – not to mention a great haircut.

With her private, one-chair studio, Mindy offers service that is friendly and personal, with styling that is classic and well-priced. Located in the Riverside Plaza, you can get your hair done, grab a pizza, pick up your laundry, and be home before you know it!
