Vital Milk

Vital Milk provides insurance-covered breast pumps & evidence-based lactation support and information. We hope our services increase knowledge, confidence, and empowerment. We want families to make informed decisions; we will respect everybody’s choice and offer help with individualized lactation plans. Caring for babies is tremendously rewarding and extremely challenging; we want to help families discover the resources they need to thrive.

Vital Milk can provide patients with free in-home visit* by Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) upon delivery of an insurance-covered breast pump. They provide this service to offer evidence-based lactation support and also to help ensure clients know how to use an electric breast pump properly to establish, maintain and/or increase their milk supply. In-home delivery service is currently only available in Hamden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties.
